Objectives: By the end of this lesson, Ss will be able to: 1. Knowledge a. Vocabulary: review the words (pool, balcony, garage, yard, gym, apartment) b. Grammar: Present simple – Y/N questions Do / Does + S + live ? Yes, do/does. / No, don’t/doesn’t. 2. Competence: improve listening and speaking skills. 3. Quality: - have positive attitude in English language learning so that they actively participate in all classroom activities. II. Teaching aids: student’s book, workbook, notebook, PC. III. Procedures Stages-Contents Activities of T&Ss 1. WARM UP & CHECK UP (5 mins) Organization of the activity: Aim: Ss can get students' attention at the beginning of the class. Vocabulary: learn new words about housework. b. Grammar: the present simple (Wh questions) 2. Competence: improve listening and speaking, reading skills. 3. Quality: - have positive attitude in English language learning so that they actively participate in all classroom activities. - love home and help parents do housework.

WARM UP & CHECK UP (8 mins) Aim: Ss can get students' attention at the beginning of the class by means of enjoyable and short activities as well as to engage them in the steps that follow. Content: Name pictures and things in the pictures. Products House: housewife, housework, housekeeper Home: homemade, homework, hometown, homeland Organization of the activity: Collocation with “House” and “Home” - Explain collocation - Give suggestions and have Ss find collocations with “House” and “Home” (in groups) - The group that can give all correct answers in the shortest time will be the winner Answer keys - Give feedback House: housewife, housework, housekeeper - Lead to the new lesson: Housework Home: homemade, homework, hometown, homeland 2. PRE-READING (15 mins) Aim: Ss can know words about household chores. Content: Vocabulary (PICTURES) Products: Vocabulary (Vietnamese meaning, how to use & pronunciation) New words New words: - Do the laundry /ˈlɔːndri/ - Do the shopping - Do the dishes Organization of the activity: - Clean the kitchen /kliːn/ /ˈkɪtʃɪn/ T uses pic in the book to introduce - Make breakfast / lunch / dinner words /ˈbrekfəst//lʌntʃ//ˈdɪnə(r)/ - Make the bed Ss listen words, practice T: Do ..
