Objectives: By the end of this lesson, Ss will be able to: 1. Knowledge a. Vocabulary: review the words about school activities. b. Grammar: Present simple 2. Competence: improve speaking skills. 3. Quality: - have positive attitude in English language learning so that they actively participate in all classroom activities, especially with the topic “School” conducted by the teacher. - love their school and take part in school activities. II. Teaching aids: student’s book, workbook, notebook, personal Computer . III. Procedures Stages-Contents Activities of T&Ss 1. WARM UP & CHECK UP (5 mins) Aim: Ss can get students' attention at the beginning of the class. Contents: Introduction the intonation for positive and negative answers. Organization of the activity: Products: Ss know more school clubs and think about which is (are) suitable for them to sign up. T has Ss close all books, shows pictures and ask Ss to look at the pictures (symbols) to guess the names of the clubs. Ss look and give names of clubs. T has Ss give answers, call other Ss to give other answers if the first one is incorrect T asks Ss to list more school clubs they know → Lead to the new lesson 2. PRE-SPEAKING (8 mins) * PRONUNCIATION Aim: Ss know how to use intonation for positive and negative answers. Contents: - Introduction of intonation for positive and negative answers Organization of the activity: Products: Ss can use right intonation to improve their T plays the recording (CD1, track 24) and asks Ss to listen speaking skill. and pay attention to the intonation. a + b. Listen to the sentences and focus on how the Ss listen. intonation goes up or down. T briefly explains the intonation for positive and negative answers, calls Ss to make their comments on the intonation

Vocabulary: know more vocabularies used in book reviews. b. Grammar: the present simple 2. Competence: - improve the use of English, speaking and listening skills. 3. Quality: - have positive attitude in English language learning so that they actively participate in all classroom activities. - love their school, love reading books, love English and literature. II. Teaching aids: student’s book, workbook, notebook, personal computer, pictures part A/9 III. Procedures Stages-Contents Activities of T&Ss 1. WARM UP & CHECK UP (3 mins) Organization of the activity: Aim: Ss can review lesson 2. Contents: Ss talk about school activity they like doing. A student talks about school activity he/ she like doing Products: and asks her/his friend. I like reading book. How about you? Other Ss listen and give remarks. I like reading book, too. T gives comments and points. 2. PRE-LISTENING (8 mins) Aim: Ss know more vocabularies used in book reviews and they can use new vocabularies to talk about the story they like to read. Teaching aids: student’s book, workbook, notebook, personal computer / pictures part A/10 III. Procedures Stages-Contents Activities of T&Ss 1.
